Digital Approximations
Digitization and bits
As time progressed, the amount of data required to be sent increased. Systems like Morse Code were not perfect. Mistakes could easily be made because of pause intervals. Eventually systems like ASCII allowed more information to be carried in a small space. Data was sent over through bits- zeros and ones.
Analog vs Digital Data
Analog data is a physical copy of data. It may not be as accurate because of warping when converting. Digital data is stored using bits.
perfect Copies
Digital data is not perfect when creating copies. Over time errors in the file are exaggerated as more and more copies are made of the original. The quality degrades over time because the copy isn't a true copy, it is just a representation of the original.
