IntroDuction to BIg Data
Big Data
Big data sets are sets of data that contain very large quantities of information. Storing, managing, and sorting big data sets can be very difficult and time consuming because traditional data sorting software is inadequate. Data may have hidden correlations and meanings while unsorted. Organizing the data into meaningful clusters may be very rewarding.
Usability vs Usefulness
The usability and usefulness of data is very important when organizing data into clusters. The usability of data is how much the data can be manipulated into certain categories. The usefulness of data is how well the data applies to a certain topic. When organizing data into a graph or table, it is best to use data that is both usable an useful. Data can be a mix of usefulness and usability. For example, some information may be useful but is unusable because the numbers are inaccurate.
